TANF Emergency Contingency Fund
The federal stimulus package creates potential opportunities for funders to invest their private funds to leverage funding at a rate of $1 to $4! An investment of $100,000 can leverage $400,000 in Federal Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) funds.

New Tool for Council Members
Philanthropy In/Sight is an interactive mapping tool designed for grantmakers to see the impact of philanthropy around the world. Combining the Foundation Center’s rich data on grantmakers and their grants with Google maps this new tool helps grantmakers create maps that show where philanthropy has made an impact and where the need for funding is greatest. The Council has partnered with the Foundation Center to provide FREE access to members through October 2010 to Philanthropy In/Sight. [more...]
